- Have you ever had a surprise guest just turn up on your doorstep?

- What sort of conversation would you have with someone who is considering divorce?
- What message of hope do we as Christians have to offer people who are divorced?
- What extra information does Mark 10:10-11 tells us about the circumstances under which divorce is permitted?
- How has the view on divorce changed over the past 50-60 years in Canada?
- 10:5 What do you think of the idea that God makes concessions to sin, even though He doesn’t condone it? Why might He make these concessions?
- Read Mark 10:11-12. In the very man-centric society of the 1st century, why were these words so revolutionary? (for further study compare with 1 Corinthians 7:3-4)
- Often when we’re talking about marital unfaithfulness we mean “sex outside of marriage”. What other forms of marital unfaithfulness can you think of? Should these be considered grounds for divorce?
- If Jesus bore our sin on the cross, He bore the sin of divorce. He became divorced for us on our behalf. What do you think of this statement?
- What are the real-world applications of this for the person that has gone through divorce?
